Q. Are all items new and with warranty?

All products are new unless otherwise stated, we endeavour to make it clear which products are new and which are refurbished. OEM products are new and come with a 12 month RTB warranty directly with ourselves. Retail products may be serviced by the manufacturer and may have extended warranty periods, sometimes up to 10 years. Warranty information is usually found within the retail products, this may require you to register the product, or provide support phone numbers or email addresses in case of any issues, so please keep this safe. In the unfortunate event this information is lost please do not hesitate to contact us and we can assist in any warranty claim.

Refurbished products will clearly state the warranty period in the product listing.

Q. Can I cancel an order?

Please contact us on 0161 480 8800 or at sales@pcupgrade.co.uk at your earliest convenience. In the event the item is in transit we will ask you accept the item and we will arrange a return. Please do not reject the item at the door as non authorised delivery rejections do carry a handling fee from our courier

Q. Can I change an order or delivery address?

As long as your order has not left our warehouse we can make amendments to it. Please contact us on 0161 480 8800 at your earliest convenience. If the item has been despatched we can easily create another order for you.

Q. Do you have a physical shop?

Unfortunately we are a warehouse based operation only. We do not have a service counter and the address in Reddish is for our main technical office and primary warehouse only, alot of products are held at various distribution centres around the UK and are not at our primary warehouse. We may be able to assist in some instances at our main location but please call to discuss this prior.

Q. I have a concern regarding the packaging of my item?

We often reuse packaging, especially for OEM products, to cut down on waste and recycle as much as possible

Q. What is OEM?

OEM stands for “Original Equipment Manufacturer”. In a nutshell alot of engineers, system builders and other usually business or industry based customers don’t require what you would class as a full retail unit, the units that alot of end users are used to, that come in a nice box with accessories and manuals. They don’t require 100 of the same manual, they don’t require 100 copies of the same driver disk. These products are often served to business in “OEM” to cut down in cost and waste. This means they usually come without retail packaging in large bulk packed units with only the required accessories. Usually OEM products are available long after production cycles end, if you are supplied an OEM product we will fully explain this and also provide links to the latest drivers and manuals for the product.

Q. When will my order be delivered?

Orders placed before 3.30pm on a Monday to Friday on items in stock will be despatched on that day. Next day deliveries will be attempted next working day. This does not include Saturday and Sundays. Next day delivery is for UK mainland only.

Orders placed after 3.30pm on Friday will be processed and despatched on Monday.

Saturday deliveries will be processed on orders up to Friday 2pm. Orders placed after this time cannot be guaranteed to be delivered on the Saturday following.

Q. Where are you based?

Manchester, the birth place of modern day computing. It’s responsible for alot so I’d be surprised if you hadn’t heard of it and it’s always worth paying the fair city a visit.

Q. Why should I trust the advice you give?

Not only have we a wealth of on the spot information we are also happy to research the best products for your specific uses, whether it’s a specific piece of software, a game, a VR headset, a media centre, a photogrammetry rig, a physics simulation suite, we’ve even supplied hardware for automated milking machines and other obscure industry specific equipment.
