Dell D-Series D-Bay External Media Bay Dell P/N PD01S UC793. Compatible with: Dell Latitude D400 / D600* D800 / X300, Inspiron 300M / 600M* 8500* / 8600*. . (*Connects to Advanced Port Replicator) The D/Bay is an external caddy, which connects to either the laptop or docking station via the D/Bay connector, enabling you to use your D-Series modules externally (FLOPPY, CD-ROM, CD-RW, DVD-ROM, DVD-RW, CD-RW/DVD and second hard drive). It will only work in the models listed above as it uses a connection unique to the dell D-Series.
